The children of James and Mary Newlin Morrison are documented in his will, written December 3, 1766, and proven January 30, 1767. Executors of the will were son Joseph and wife Mary. James left his plantation to son Joseph subject to wife's life interest and maintenance of daughter Esther and paying to children, Agnes, Mary, James, Elizabeth, Jane, John and Priscilla half the value of said plantation. He left to sons Nathaniel, Robert, James, and John, and daughters Agnes, Mary, Elizabeth, Jane, and Priscilla 5 shillings each. He left to son Joseph "the loom he weaves on." James Morrison's occupation is given as weaver. His father-in-law, Nathaniel Newlin, was one of the witnesses to the will. First Families of Chester County, Pennsylvania, Vol 2 tells us that daughter Agnes Morrison married Mordecai Cloud, son of Jeremiah and Ann Cloud, Jr. (as second wife).
