  21. "BUCKEYE LAKE--A 76-year-old fishermen up hurriedly fell into the lakeand drowned because he couldn't swim. James Krumm, 76, Route 1,Pataskala, was reported missing by his son-in-law, Ralph Kirkpatrick ofHebron, about 8 PM yesterday. Krumm's body was pulled from the lakeabout 10:45 PM by rescue man, using poles with hooks on the end, whosearched the area where Krumm had been fishing earlier with Kirkpatrick.Three police agencies were involved in the search. The Licking CountySheriff's office began the investigation, and when the deputy TonyVarrasso discovered that his search had to be extended into FairfieldCounty, the Fairfield County Sheriff's department was contacted.Corporal Joseph Walker and Ptl. William Bronkar of Hebron HighwayPatrol Post also investigated. The Fairfield County coroner Dr. L. L.Kersell ruled Krumm's death accidental. Board August 10, 1889 in LimaTownship, Licking County, he was the son of Harmon and Elizabeth Krumm.A former employee of the Columbus General Depot, he retired in 1958after 15 years of service. He is survived by his widow, Helen; twosons, the Rev. Delbert R. Krumm of Columbus and Alfred J. ofMillersport; two daughters, Mrs. Morena Flynn of Johnstown and Mrs.Eileen Kirkpatrick of Hebron; two stepsons, Ross Peck of CanalWinchester and Floyd Peck of Millersport; 24 grandchildren; ninegreat-grandchildren; and two sisters, Miss Cora Krumm and Miss AnnieKrumm, both of Pataskala. Services will be at 2 PM Thursday at theThurston Funeral Home in Pataskala with interment at the PataskalaCemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home after 7 tonight."
