  8. ↑ Thought I wasn't going to find this chap's birth or baptism as I couldn't find him in any of Bickleigh, Walkhampton or Buckland Monachorum records, although the latter were not as thoroughly searched. Then I noticed several King entries in the Walkhampton records referred to Kings in Sampford Spiney - bingo. His baptism entry reads: "1754 James Barter son of Walter King and Ann his wife was baptized ye 22 Day of May"
