    (II) James M., son of Richard Hall, was born in Lewis county, Virginia, now West Virginia, about 1820, died in February, 1872. He was a farmer by occupation, as was also his father. He served as justice of the peace and commissioner of the county court. He married (first) Nancy Burnside. Children: William H., a stockman of Ritchie county, West Virginia ; Sarah A. (Mrs. Lovett) ; Margaret (Mrs. Bailey) ; Minor J., a stockman of Lewis county ; R.H. a farmer and stockman of Lewis county ; Lot, a stock dealer of Weston, West Virginia ; Nancy Burnside, deceased. He married (second) Elizabeth C., daughter of Samuel and Nancy (Dawson) Lovett. Children: Samuel G., of whom further ; Nancy L. (Mrs. L.M. Allman) ; Bertha L. (Mrs. Beach). The mother of these children died October, 1895. ...
