I do not think that this couple was divorced as stated in your initial letter to me. James Ford was murdered in 1826 and Anna Davis is listed as his wife in the court transcript. See partial transcription below:
1827--State vs JOSEPH SILVA AND BRACKSTON SILVA - Circuit Court Seventh Judicial Circuit, March term.
James Ford was murdered by Joseph Silva aided and abetted by Brackston Silva on 14 Oct 1826 at the home of
Joseph Silva. Joseph Silva late of said county, labourer and a certain Brackston Silva late of county labourer..on night of 14 October 1826 at the house of Joseph Silva in the county of Roane..upon one JAMES FORD did assault with a
certain drawn knife made of iron and steel which the said Joseph Silva in his right hand held Ford ..stabbed in the stomach who instantly died. BRACKSTON SILVA was there present, aiding, abetting, etc. Joseph Silva.
.......ANNE FORD is wife of JAMES FORD, MARK BEENE is a brother-in-law to James Ford. Beene had often heard if he was BENJ. FORD he would kill JO. SILVA, if he was not hanged by law.

THOMAS FORD is bro of James.
LOYD FORD is brother to James Ford.
POLLY is daughter of JOSEPH SILVA, and refers to
UNCLE WILLIAM SILVA and cousin JACK SIMONDS.
