When the new St Andrews Church was constructed in 1925 the first marriage was a Jay Moffatt and Jennie Corrigan(anyone have them in their tree) The first funeral was James Corrigan and there was a great story on how that Corrigan pulled a dirty trick on Michael McLean by dying one day before because apparently it was McLean's stated wish to be the first to have his funeral in the new church
