Parish Registers of South Weal, Essex ("about 7 miles west") show the baptism: 1620, Nov. 29 John Convers, son of Edward and Sara.
[There is also a baptism for Josiah in 1618, and Sarah in 1623, which when combined with the age at death of James and his date of marriage, make it almost certain this baptism of "John" is really James.]
