[p. 51-52] "James{4} Cahoon (Sarah{3} O'Killey, David Jr.{2}, David{1}) born May 8, 1721 in Chatham, Massachusetts. His parents removed to Harwich when he was a baby, there he died in 1776. On September 4, 1740, he married Rebakah Eldredge born -- 1723, died --. She was a daughter of William and Thankful (Crowell).
"James Cahoon enlisted May 5, 1758 in Capt. Thatcher's Company of Yarmouth, and served until November 28, in an expedition against Crown Point in command of Col. Doty's Regiment. Will in Barnstable Probate, 1776."
