From Civil War Pension file: Jacob L Ryan: 1st Sargent, Co. F, commanded by G B Yates of the 32nd Regiment of Kentucky Volunteer Infantry, commanded by Colonel Thomas Morrow in the war of 1861 in the suppression of the Southern Rebellion. Jacob L Ryan died in hospital in the town of Somerset, Pulaski Co. KY on the 23rd day of June 1863 while in the service of the United States.

    She <Keziah> further declares that she was married to the said Jacob L Ryan at her father's residence in the County and State <Whitley Co., KY> aforesaid, on the 19th day of February, 1851, by one James Meadors, then acting Justice of the Peace, in and for the County and State aforesaid......that her name before marriage was Creekmore.....................Keziah remarried to Alexander Osborne on January 5, 1869.
