Hannah (Grimes/Graham) Rolls [Rall], widow, sister to Sarah Grimes, appeared in Court in Ipswich on 30 March 1762 and pleaded guilty to having an illegitimate child the previous March, father unnamed. On 5 April 1768 Jacob Lurvey alias Grimes, son of Hannah [Grimes/Graham] Hadlock was bound to Enoch Boynton, yeoman until 25 November 1782, to be taught the Art of Navigation if he inclined to go to sea, if not the art of husbandry.
Two publications provide accounts of his life and descendants (Kenyon, Beatrice, "The Venturesome Youth of Jacob Lurvey". Daughters of the American Revolution Magazine 99 [1965]:916-18); and of the search for his father (Carr, Agnes D.
