"Jacob made a living transporting logs down either the Oconee or Ocmulgee River to the Altamaha and then to points south. Apparently he had a girl friend further down river with the last name Sapp. Dad (Emmett David Foskey) said that they had a son who kept the Sapp name. I recall that Dad said that he had met Jacob's son when Dad was a child." (Story related by Charles Foskey).
