Jacob Buzzard, son of Daniel and Margaret (Bechling) Buzzard, was a cooper by trade, and although a farmer during the greater part of his life, never abandoned his calling. After his marriage he moved to the farm now occupied by his son Amos and there passed the remainder of his days. At one time he held the office of supervisor. He was a Democrat and a member of the Lutheran church. He married Mary, daughter of Daniel and Lydia (Baughman) Allshouse, of North Huntingdon township, and their children were: 1.. Julia Ann, born July 4, 1856, and is the wife of William Loughner, of Hempfield township. 2. Amos, see forward. 3. Hezekiah D., see forward. 4. Sarah Ann, born December 8, 1867, married Edward Loughner, and after his separation, William Stahl, of Jeannette. 5. Samuel Albert, born June 18, 1870. married and lives at Jeannette. 6. Jacob Daniel, twin of Samuel Albert, married, and lives at Allegheny. Mr. Buzzard and his wife are both deceased.
