    [Note: the marriage record in the published VRs clearly says Sarah Cogswell, as do several town copies found online (marriage p. 238; publishment p. 121). This source offers no identification of the wife, no birth or death nor hint she was a widow. No marriage of a Mr. Cogswell to Sarah Eveleth has been located. It seems like a blatant error, but is repeated (e.g., Source:Perkins, George Augustus. Family of John Perkins of Ipswich, Mass, p. 38). More research is needed.]
