    In Little Genesee, N. Y., April 1, 1884, Jabez Burdick, in the 76th year of his age. He was born in Berlin, N. Y., in 1808 and in 1821 his parents moved to Friendship. In 1823 they removed to Genesee, settling near what is now Little Genesee, being the first settlers in that vicinity. With the exception of a short time he had been a resident of Genesee for sixty-one years. He professed faith in Christ in early life, and has since been known as an honest Christian, and a kind and helpful neighbor. The funeral services were held at the church on Sabbath, April 5th, and were largely attended. G. W. B.
