Jabez Brown3 (Lydia2 Howland, John1) was born at Swansea, 9 July 1668 and died at Barrington, R.I., July 1747. … Jabez Brown of Barrington made his will 11 April 1740, proved 7 July 1747, naming his wife Abijah; son John; daughter Jane, wife of Nathaniel Bosworth; son Oliver's daughters Rebecca and Ann; daughter Rebecca's children Jerusha Peck and Winchester Peck; and his son Hezekiah. On 8 November 1750 the land was divided among his wife and his sons Hezekiah and John."
