Iva L. Christensen
RONAN - Iva L. Christensen passed away May 7, 2001, at St. Luke Community Hospital in Ronan of natural causes. Iva was born Sept. 19, 1919, the ninth child of M.I. Lewis and Della Belle Griffin Sias.
She attended school in Lonepine and graduated from Hot Springs High School. On June 17, 1939, she married Carl R. Christensen and to this union five children were born: Marlene Melton of Ronan, Larry Christensen of Plains, Bob and Lori Christensen of Missoula, Gordon and Bev Christensen of Prosser, Wash., and Diane and Keith Krantz of Charlo.
Iva's greatest love was her family. She was a wonderful cook and loved to crochet. Iva and Carl were members of the Accordion Association and loved to go to jams on Sundays.
Iva was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ray, Chuck and Syke, sisters Mary Olson, Lois Mercier and Minnie Taylor.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of almost 62 years, her children, nine grandchildren, sister Laura Woods of Helena, brother Joe Sias of Colorado and many nieces and nephews.
We love you Mom and you will be in our hearts forever.
Services will be held at the Lonepine Community Hall on Friday, May 11, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Benson officiating.
