    "120. Israel Trowbridge (Isaac109, James103, William100, Thomas1), baptized September 30, 1722, in Stratford, Conn.; died ____, 1795, in Fair Haven, Vt.; … Israel Trowbridge came with his father to Oxford. Conn., and was engaged in farming there, his home being near the meeting-house. In the summer or fall of 1780 he removed to the town of Fair Haven, Vt., where he settled on a farm in the eastern part of the town, near the west line of Castleton and on the north side of the road leading from Hydeville. He was one of the proprietors named in the charter of Fair Haven, and located in September, 1780, three divisions of his right, nearly three hundred acres, in one body, along Castleton line and the river.
