His name appears in the Guthrie Bible record to look like "Sim S. Guthrie" but the 1860 has his name as Isaiah S. Guthrie. His name on his Find-a-Grave memorial page is recorded as Sim/Jim J. Guthrie but there is no photo of a gravemarker and the source of this name is not mentioned.

On the 1860 census the enumerator placed the hh number on Mary's line below William's name, causing William to be enumerated with the family above his family!
