... Josiah Dickson, was a native of Scotland, and was married to Isabell Reed, also of Scotland. They had eleven children, only two of whom are now living – George and Rev. Wm. Dickson. Josiah Dickson moved to Cooper county in 1819, and went to farming there. He died in 1829, and was buried four miles east of Booneville, he wife surviving him until 1831 [sic], and was buried at the same place. ...
