    Will dated 10 July 1787. Isaac Gates described himself as "far advanced in life and laboring under the common infirmities of age." He stated that his eight oldest children had received their full portion.
    They were named as: Jemima, wife of Benjamin Chapman, Deborah, the former wife of Nathan Herrick, Marcy, wife of Daniel Freeman, Sarah, wife of Peter Rose, sons Isaac and Jacob, Elizabeth, wife of Daniel Gates and Susanna Whipple.
    He willed to his wife Charity, daughters Amy, wife of Jonathan Church, Anna, wife of Squire Phillips, and Louisa, wife of William Stanton.
    Named son-in-law Daniel Gates as executor.
    Witnesses made oath 26 Sep 1788. Estate proved to be insolvent.
