  5. 5.0 5.1 It is possible that both death records belong to the same man, but not only do they have different dates about a week apart, they have different ages about four years apart. The 17 May date appears to be based on a gravestone, but the Find A Grave memorial has no image to confirm this. A prior contributor to this page used the 17 May date, but used the cause of death, hemiplegia, from the 23 May record. The Child Genealogy used the 23 May date but the age at death of that record is not a good match, suggesting a birth in 1718 instead of 1722. It is interesting to note that Isaac's sister Esther married a man named Josiah Murdock (according to the Child Genealogy) and that Josiah also died on exactly 23 May 1794. One cannot help but wonder if the 23 May death record was meant to be him, but was misrecorded?? One thing we know for sure, Isaac Child only died once.
