LENGTHY ILLNESS CLAIMS LIFE OF IRA B. DUNN

Ira B. Dunn, 80, retired farmer and railroader, died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 4 in Eastern State Hospital. He helped to build the old O&K Junction railroad across Breathitt County and was a section foreman on this road for 22 years.

He is survived by four sons, Adam Dunn, Lebanon, Ohio; Jesse Dunn, Harrison, Ind.; Bill Dunn, Middletown, Ohio and Ira Dunn, Jr., Hamilton, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Nancy Lou Trent, Whitesburg, Mrs. Sarah Banks, Simpson, and Mrs. Mary Benson, Stratford, Conn.; 32 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.

The body was taken to the B.F. Porter and Son Funeral Home where it was kept until Thursday afternoon then it was returned to the residence, at Simpson.

Funeral services were conducted at the Boone Fork Church of Christ, Breathitt County at 10 a.m. Friday, June 7, with Rev. Ira Dunn, nephew of the deceased and Rev. Oney Banks officiating. Burial was in the Dunn Cemetery at Simpson.
