    First appears as witness to the of Thomas Corter of Westhorpe dated 10 Mar 1522/3.
    In subsidy of 1523-4 he is called Humphrey Carew & is one of the largest taxpayers.
    In 1533 he is Humphrey Carewe alias Coke bought land in Westhorpe, Bacton, Finningham & Wyverstone, Suffolk.
    The last mention of him is in subsidy of 1545/6.
