According to Martha (Wright) Winch's notes, Horatio & brothers had a land grant in King & Queen County, Virginia. The story goes that in the 1920's a lawsuit was brought against the state of Virginia to compensate the heirs for the land, children of Horatio Gates Clark being the living heirs. Rebecca Catherine (Clark) Wright refused to sign according to memory of Martha (Wright) Winch. Rebecca didn't want the lawyers to get anything. This is a family story, don't know if it is correct or not.
