[Age 47, so born about 1742. Note: Source:Truro, Barnstable, Massachusetts, United States. Inscriptions from Gravestones in the Old North Cemetery, Truro, Mass, p. 23, reports the death date as 11 Jun 1780, but as Hope is listed as the mother of two children born after 1780, and based on calculations using her age at death and her birth, it is clear that 1789 is the correct interpretation.]
