ALLEN, Hiram, Native of Center Ridge, Dies. Hiram Allen, 55, former civil service worker of Morrilton, died Wednesday of last week at a local hospital. Mr. Allen was born in Center Ridge April 8, 1901, son of the late Sam and Georgia Brinkley Allen. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Retha Allen; three sons, Hiram Allen Jr. and Ted Allen of Monterrey, Calif., and Johnny Allen of Morrilton; two daughters, Mrs. Flora Garner of Montana, and Miss Mary Lou Allen of Morrilton; three brothers, Gene Allen, Romie Allen and Sam Allen of Sunnyvale, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Erma Guinn of Morrilton, Mrs. Melvin McGowan of Strathmore, Calif., and Mrs. Floyd Carroll and Mrs. Mary Fowler of Sunnyvale, Calif.; and seven grandchildren. Bro. Leroy Alexander was in charge of funeral services Saturday afternoon at the Springfield Cemetery. Burial was in charge of Reid’s Funeral Home.
