April 31, 1881 Northern Indianian MILLWOOD: Mrs Falkner, while out in the sugar camp attending the fire under the kettes, had her clothing catch fire and in an instant was enveloped in flames and no one present but some children, who rolled her in the snow...she lingered until Friday when she died. She leaves her husband and 11 children. One of the oldest daughters is an invalid and greatly in need of a morth's care.

Bourbon Mirror Thurs 21 April 1880 Mrs. Faulkner, wife of E.J. Faulkner, who resides about three miles northeast of Panama, in Kosciusko Co., died last Friday afternoon about 6 o'clock. Mrs. F. was severely burned by her clothes taking fire at a sugar camp about two or three weeks ago, but was thought to be getting along well until the day of her death, when she was taken with a congestive chill and died a few hours afterward.
