In the name of God Amen. I, HENSON QUEEN, of the county of Burke., in the state of North Carolina, being weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be through love. to God , calling unto ..... of my body & knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last will and testament, that is ti say ...... at first of all, .... recommending my sole (soul) into the hans of almighty God that gave it......My body I rec......... the earth to be r...... decent Christian burial at the desire of my executors nothing doubting but at the general resurection I shall return the same by the Mighty power of God and ... ...... such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life, I give deamise and dispose of the same for the following Matl...& ...... first I give and bequeath to SARAH QUEEN, dearly beloved wife, two negro men one by the name of Dick & one by the name of Landon, and all my working tools & farming tools, household furniture. during her life time, and at her death these two negroes Dick and London, I also do will & bequeath to my son, JOHN QUEEN forever. These two negros by the name of Dick & london or their .....I do also will & bequeath to my daughter., SARAH QUEEN, my negro woman named Seal. as her property forever. I also will & bequeath to my daughter., RUTH UPTON, fifty dollars.. I also will & bequeath to my daughter JANE JOHNSTON, fifty dollars.. I also will & bequeath to my daughter., CATY HICKS, fifty dollars. (Sentance scratched out) I also will & bequeath to my daughter., SELEY CARTER, fifty dollars. I also will & bequeath to my son, WILLIAM QUEEN, fifty dollars. I also will & bequeath to my son, JOHN QUEEN, all my household furniture. & farming tools as his forever. I further do appoint., JOHN QUEEN my trustee ...... & executor to act & execute this my last will & testament.
