"... , Henry F., born in Barnstead, 1840, came to Pittsfield in childhood, attended the public schools, and after leaving school worked in a shoe factory. He married Angeline Spriggs, of Barnstead, and they had two children born to them: George B. and Carrie F. He served in the in the New Hampshire Volunteers from September 14, 1864, until the close of the war, and died January 26, 1885."
