    Henry, Haverhill, proprietor, 1644. Removed to Portsmouth; for work done in Ambrose Lane's sawmill, he received a deed, 29 May, 1655, from Richard Tucker, attorney for Lane, of two houses and certain lands. Was fined in 1663, for declining to serve on jury 1663. He m. Elizabeth Walford. In 1686 they deeded half their est. to son John, except bedding, etc., intended for dau. Deborah, and in 1694 deeded to their son-in-law Peter Wells. He was dead in 1702. Her will, 13 Nov. 1708, proved 1709, names son John and his dau., and dau. Deborah and her fam., the deed to Peter Wells and her deed to gr.s. John Lear in 1702 having taken care of dau. Mary’s family. Known children, two liv. 1666 when their gr.fa. made his will: Mary, m. 1st Hugh Lear, m. 2d Peter Wells. Esther, no later rec. John. Deborah, m. Edward Wells.
