Henry was listed in 1850 US census as from georgia and son of Dr. William P Overbay and Nancy Sudduth. Nancy (his mother) was the daughter of Henry W and (Sally Golden) Sudduth who were married about 1811. Nancy, 1812-1877, was married twice. The first William P Overbay (my liniage) Gave her two sons, one whom died at infantcy, the other was Henry P Overbay. Henry was born before the family left Georgia. Later Nancy and William seperated and Nancy remarried a man named Jefferson West. William Practiced medicine in Sabine Parish, Louisiana.
