1860: his wife is living with her parents and their children.

1860: In Great Barrington, Berkshire County, Massachusetts, there is a 14-year-old Edwin Lowry, factory operative, single, b. Massachusetts; living in the home of Robert L. & Eliza Fuller. Fuller was a carpenter. There are other possibly unrelated people in this household (i.e., a number of different surnames). This is likely a second enumeration of the Edwin Lowry of West Stockbridge, which is just 11 miles up the road.

I find none of the West Stockbridge Lowries in 1870.

There is a H.W. Lowery who married Blanche Lee (daughter of Bernard F. Lee [b 1814] and Pauline King) and resided in Akron, OH per a history of Poland Township (Ohio?). Accessed 17 Jan 2012: www.polandtownship.org/historical_society/schools_libraries.pdf [researching him back further, this is NOT our Henry W. Lowry. See 1880 census, where he’s a clergyman, with mother and brother in Coitsville, Mahoning, Ohio.]

History of Columbiana Co., OH: Rev. H.W. Lowery as of 27 Oct 1887 www.genealogypitstop.com/Barth/BarthXVII.rtf

There was an H.W. Lowrey who co-authored the Bureau County Atlas in 1875. He shows up throughout Google searches as a publisher of maps in Illinois. Could a publisher of sheet music in Pennsylvania become a publisher of maps?

This is more promising: H. W. Lowrey Sheet Music. Arranger (but the website has “closed” www.load.cd/sheetmusic/arrangers/28370_h_w_lowrey He apparently wrote/arranged “The Home of my Father”; sheet music can be downloaded here: http://www.musicaneo.com/sheetmusic/sm-79469_the_home_of_my_father_for_voices_and_piano.html
