    Leslie Pedigree, &c.
A full Leslie pedigree will be found in my ?History of the Corry Family? at p. 87. There are in some copies of that book a book-plate of Edmund Leslie Corry?s inserted...I have also a very good photograph of a portrait at Ballybay of Bishop Henry LESLIE, which is about to be reproduced in Ulster Journal of Archaeology...
    Appendix Q, I. re Martha Popkin p. 245
Mary Popkin is shown by the Dublin marriage licenses to have m. 1st in 1794 the Rev. Alex. LESLIE of Derrybrusk, whose grandfather, the Rev. William LESLIE, of Nutfield, near Brookborough, was long Rector of Aghavea. ...The Rev. Wm. LESLIE who is mentioned at p. 180 as having witnessed Leslie CORRY?s will, was, by his own wish, buried in a stone coffin in Aghavea churchyard; on a stone there is this inscription: ?Underneath in a stone coffin are the remains of the Rev. William LESLIE, near 50 years Rector of Aghavea, died 1760 [1762?]. Aso, his son Henry of Nutfield, 1786, age 76, whose wife Mary died 1791; their son John, 1789; George, 1809; and grandson Henry 1800 - calls from temporal happiness to eternal, by a merciful God. My first-born Henry, aged 6 years, recalled 6 Oct 1800; my second, James Borough, aged 18, 23rd Febrym, 1815, intered in the Oliver vaultm, co. Limerick. My last, William, aged 20, 20th March, 1818, intered at Orleans in France. And their mother Susan, of a broken heart, 25th Jan 1819, intered with her son James. May these heavy visitations tend to the salvation of their afflicted father, Henry LESLIE. Her also lies Blayney LESLIE of Nutfield, died 20th June 1886, age 78 yrears.

    pg. 436
?Here lie the remains of Jane, wife of George Leslie of Hollybrook, died 10th Octr 1832, aged 64 yrs. Also those of Henry LESLIE of Forphy, eldest son of the above George and Jane, died 6 Apr 1838, aged 40 years.

I have a note of the Rev. Wm. LESLIE?s Will dated 23 Apr 1760. He was then in his 80th year. The will was proved 4 Mary 1762. He had a leasehold property at Portglenone, co. Antrim, which he confirmd to his eldest son Alexander (probably a clergyman), and to his son Alex., who must have been the Rector of Derrybrusk, or failing them, to Alexander?s second son Charles. ...The Rev. Wm. LESLIE further left his freehold of Aghnagroe to his son Henry during the term of the lease, that is during his life. To every surviving son and daughter-in-law, 10 pounds. To each surviving grandchild, 50 pounds...He left his wife three cows, two horses, half of his bed and table linen, and three silver spoons. To his grandson Alex. as representing his eldest son, ...he bequeathed his gold watch, to be kept in memory of Leslie Corry, esq, who gave it to him. He left Alexander and son Charles large silver cup, three silver spoons. Mentions daughter Mary NOBLE, son-in-law Peter PENUWDE, son Henry of Nutfiled.
