Henry: Henry (Harry) Ellson was apprenticed to his maternal grandfather (D.A.Esdaile) as a toolmaker and subsequently worked for Pye of Cambridge and, for many years, at Creeds of Croydon, building teleprinters. He retired as Head of the Test Department. He was an accomplished pianist and organist and played in churches in his youth and for dances and in cinemas.
