    "1 Henry1 Biley [Variously spelled, Bylie, Byley, Bile, Bilye, etc.; and sometimes, incorrectly, Bailey or Bayley.], Mr., of Salisbury, 'tanner,' b. ab. 1612; was one of the twelve who obtained the original grant in 1638, and recd, land in the 'first division.' He came from Sarum, or Salisbury, Wilts, Eng., in 1638, with a sister Mary, aged 22, and John Biley, aged 20, in the 'Bevis.' … He m. Rebecca Swayne [dau. of Bennett Swayne], also of Sarum, and d. ab. 1640.

    "Byley, Henry, Salisbury, tanner, an orig. sett. 1639, came in the Bevis from Southampton, 1638, aged 26, with sis. Mary, 22. He had liv. at Salisbury, O. E. where he left w. Rebecca, to wh. in let. of 11 Oct. 1638 from Newbury, bef. sett. at S. he wrote of the d. of his only br. but adds, that his sis. and serv. were well. He prays her to come over with Mr. Dow, and other friends, prepar. to come, or with Mr. Peter Noyes, 'wh. is now a. to take ship,' i. e. to go from here to Eng. to bring his fam. hither; and utters his hope, that she 'had been safely deliv. of her ch. and thus made a joyful mo. of childr.' but he d. early. His wid. m. 3 Apr. 1641, Mr. John Hall; and third h. 22 July 1650, Rev. William Worcester; and for fourth h. had dep.-gov. Samuel Symonds, outliv. him, and d. 21 July 1695. Coffin, in Geneal. Reg. VI. 246, and 341, has strangely confus. this mo. with her d. Rebecca, wh. m. 15 Dec. 1664, Rev. John Hale."
