Henry Beamer, eldest child of John (2) and Eve (Butenborger) Reamer, was born at Toneytown, near Hagerstown, Maryland, coming with his father to Westmorehand county, Pennsylvania, at the age of five years. During his youth and early manhood he worked for his father on the farm of the latter, and when he married bought a farm of his own near Murrysville, on which he resided during the remainder of his life. His death occurred in Jannary, 1857. He married, about 1822, Elizabeth Lauffer, who died in 1843. She was the daughter of John and ----- (Kemerer) Lauffer, of Penn township.
