'Comments: Jacob Martens' parents were Peter Martens (born 1769) and Katharina (Bergen) Martens (married 21 Oct 1792) and his paternal grandparents were Gerhard and Katharina Martens who lived in Halbstadt, Prussia in 1776 and emigrated to Russia in 1797. Jacob Martens' siblings were Peter, born 1800; Heinrich, born 1802; Maria, born 1803; Gerhard, born 1805; Helena, born 1808. Father Peter Martens, born 1769, had a brother Johann (1760-1831) who married Margaretha Harder (1759-1828) and lived in Neuenburg, Chortitza. ...
