Below is a modern partial map of the former principality of Schaumburg-Lippe, provided by Karl Lohmeier, of Germany. The village of BERENBUSCH is located on the left side of the page, about half way down the page, and at the bottom of the Schaumburg Wald (forest). On the north side of the forest is the village of CAMMER, where the Lohmeier family lived for a number of years.

Buckeburg on the map, is about five miles southwest of Berenbusch, and was the former capital of the former country.
