Heinrich Berte was a Charter Member of the Pioneer Club of German Immigrants, 5/6/1877. You had to be older than 40 and lived in the United States at least 20 years to be a member. 1856 Henry Berti had a Prov. Store on the SW corner of Greenup and Robbins. 1878 Henry Berte was named as one of the first members of the Pioneer Club to die.
