HATTIE SHELLHOUSE

TIFFIN -- Hattie Shellhouse, 94, of 761 East Twp Rd 28, Tiffin, died at 4: 15 p.m. Friday, July 31, 1998 at her residence.

She was born Dec. 23, 1903 in Bascom to Charles and Elsie (Feasel) Klin e. She married Ray N Shellhouse on Oct. 27, 1921, and he died May 7, 196 5.

Surviving are three sons, Dale V, Glen A and Harold W, all of rural Tiffi n; a daughter, Mrs. Donald F (Phyllis) Smith, Tiffin; 10 grandchildre n; 16 great-grandchildren; a half brother, Carl O Taylor, Odenville, Ala .; and a half sister, Mrs. Daisy Erdely, Roswell, Ga.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Virgil and Wm Kline; a siste r, Nellie Kline; a half brother, Albert Taylor; and a half sister, Floren ce Taylor.

Mrs. Shellhouse worked at the former Gem Manufacturing CO Bascom, a nd at U.S Glass CO Tiffin. She was also a homemaker.

She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church, rural Tiffin, and t he Ladies Aid Society of the church; Sycamore American Legion Auxiliary Po st 250, Thimble Club. She was a former member of Eden Grange, Eden Twp Sen eca CO.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Walton-Moore Funeral Ho me, Sycamore, the Rev. David Powell officiating. Burial will be in Pleasa nt View Cemetery, Sycamore.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
