Harriet Eliza Patterson was the daughter of Dr. Asbel Patterson and Ellen S Hill Patterson, and she was born in Homer, Courtland, New York in 1837[2]. After Harriet and Uri married in 1859[1], they lived with her parents, who had moved to Ithaca, New York[3].

MRS. URI CLARK DIES
After Long Illness Wife of Well-known Merchant Passes Away – Funeral Tuesday
Harriet Eliza Clark, wife of Col. Uri Clark of East Buffalo street, died yesterday afternoon[1] about 5:30 o'clock after a long illness.
Mrs. Clark's condition has been critical for a long time and the end had been expected momentarily.
The deceased was born in Homer, N.Y., October 27, 1837[1], and was a daughter of Dr. Ashbel Patterson. She was married in this city to Uri Clark and has been a life long resident of this city.
The funeral will be held from the late residence on Buffalo street Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
The survivors are her husband, Col. Uri Clark, two daughters, Mrs. Browning of Orange, N.J., Mrs. Fritts of New York and one son Leland of this city.
Harriet's will and codicil was signed January 19, 1902 a few days before her death on February 7, 1902[7].
