Hannah Weld, b. say 1631; named in father's will, 2 June 1646; no further record. (Based on the bequest in the will of Joseph Weld regarding the clothing to be obtained for this daughter in behalf of "Mr. Hoock[e]r," John William Linzee suggested that she may have been the wife of Thomas Hooker [Parker Ruggles 501]. More recent research has shown the impossibility of this unlikely suggestion; the wife of Thomas Hooker was Susanna Garbrand [TAG 75:225-28].)

Hannah Weld, d/o Joseph Weld and 1st wife Elizabeth ---: 4) Hannah, b. England about 1629, living 2 Jun 1646 when named in her father's will.
[Note: Linzee adds some far-fetched speculation about Hannah being the same person as Susannah, the widow of Thomas Hooker, but this is impossible since Thomas and Susannah Hooker were married and had children born, before Hannah was even born.]
