Murder of Samuel Jenks

Hannah was arrested along with her husband in relation to the murder of Samuel Jenks, but was later believed to be acquitted. Her brother-in-law, William, was found guilty of manslaughter in the second degree and sentenced to six years of labor at Clinton prison. Her sister, Eleanor, who was the wife of William Culver, was at the center of the tragedy, and was found guilty of being an accessory to murder.
