When Hannah was 12 years old the family loaded all their goods into ox carts and started for Ohio. After several weeks they arrived at Fort Pitt (Pittsburg), put all their goods on a river boat and went south on the river to Wellsville. From there they went by wagon to New Lisbon where they were to live.
