SMITH, Hannah, d. Henery and Abigail, [born] Oct. 30, 1737.
↑ Hannah's father's probate refers twice to distribution of the estate of Hannah Turner, and then separately specifies a share to be paid to Hannah Turner. It appears Hannah is the lady who m. 1764 Elisha Turner, brother of the Abner Turner that married Hannah's sister Abigail (sons of Ebenezer Turner and Esther Clark of Medfield), as his second wife (first wife Esther (Woods), m. 1759, d. 1760). Their last recorded child is Esther, b. Wrentham 1774 and no further trace has been found after that. It seems likely based on the reading of Henry's probate that Henry held Hannah's share in Abigail Clark's estate, and the share specified was to be paid to her heirs, she being dead. But there is not enough detail in the probate nor supporting evidence to conclude anything. There are other possible Hannah Turners who don't seem like good matches but haven't been ruled out.
