NICKOLLS, Hannah, d. of Timothy and Hannah, [born] Mar. 13, 1729.

  4. The parentage of Hannah Nichols is established based on her age at death. Source:Eaton, Lilley. Genealogical History of the Town of Reading, Mass confuses William with another William Poole and doesn't even investigate his wife. Hannah, the daughter of Timothy Nichols and Hannah Perkins, b. Reading 1729, would seem to be a good candidate, but secondary sources that cover Timothy Nichols (e.g. Eaton cited above, p. 99; Source:Secomb, Daniel F. History of the Town of Amherst, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, p. 705) do not show any marriage for her. Timothy Nichol's probate in Amherst, NH, 1791 does not list his heirs (there may have been no distribution as some or all of his real estate was sold to cover debts). So no real evidence to support this has been found outside of appearing to be clearly the best match age-wise, and the excellent agreement with the age at death.
