Hannah Litchfield, d/o Josiah, b. Scituate 24 Dec 1672, bp. 5 Sep 1680, m. "date unknown" Israel Cowing (Cowen). Will of "Hannah Cowing of Scituate", dated 30 Dec 1747, proved 6 Mar 1748/49, mentions sons Josiah Cowing, Job Cowing and Joseph Cowing, son Gathelas Cowing, daughters Hannah Merritt, Eliz'a Bailey, Rachel Southard, grand daughter Deborah Cowing daughter of son Job, grandson Benjamin Dane [see note], grand daughter Martha Fobes, grand daughter Mary Keith, grandson Israel Cowing, grandson Balch Cowing, grand daughter Lydia Leichfield. Sons Josiah and Joseph executors.
[Note: footnote says Benjamin Dane is probably "copyists error" for Benjamin Pierce. Presumably this is from the recorded will and not the original. According to this source, daughter Mary m. Benjamin Pierce, and presumably this grandson is their child.]
