Bethiah Baker born October 23, 1723. She was a daughter of John and Hannah (Jones).

  2. John Baker married Hannah Joanes "of Yarmouth". She is not likely the daughter Hannah of Robert Jones and Joanna Osgood of Amesbury (born 17 Aug 1672). No marriage record is found for that Hannah, nor was any mention of any marriage for her noticed in the secondary sources that covered that family. Rather, Mrs. John E. Barclay, in an addenda/correction to her article on the Jones Family of Yarmouth (TAG, p. 32:111), thinks the wife of John Baker is possibly the daughter of Jeremiah Jones of Yarmouth (correcting her omission from the family). Source:Bunnelle, Philip R. New England Ancestry of George R. Perry 1867-1947 refutes her original article (apparently having not seen her correction), and concludes the wife of John Baker is the daughter of Jeremiah Jones and Sarah Dillingham based on how her children were named.
  3. Birth year is estimated based on her marriage date and birth dates of her children, as well as the approximate marriage year (1678) of her probable parents (Jeremiah Jones and Sarah Dillingham) (see TAG 31:124).
  4. No death record is found in the Yarmouth VRs. This date (14 Nov 1726) is the birthdate of her last child, and it is not clear if the intent was to say "after" this date, as no source is given to explain how it was determined she died this date.
