↑ The birth date of "Hannah Chaffin, of Holden" is given by Wheeler as 26 Feb 1791 without any attempt to identify her parents. The only reasonable match found in the Holden VRs is Hannah, d. Nathan and Hannah, b. 24 Jan 1791. The death record adds some ambiguity by providing two different ages at death, but no birth record at all is found matching age of 20, so probably 26 is correct, which works about to 1791. As Gabriel and Hannah appear to have had no children, she is not likely to have any representation in a probate document, hence it is VRs versus Wheeler as to which is the right birthdate. While it is possible her birth to some other couple wasn't recorded, Wheeler's track record regarding reliability suggests she probably is the daughter of Nathan and Hannah.
