Obituary: ELMORE-Gustav Kontak, 84, of 307 Clinton St., Elmore a retired employee of Sun Oil Co., died this morning at the Bethesda Care Center in Fremont where he had been a patient the last month. He was born Oct. 19, 1898, at Passaic, N.J., to Edward and Amelia (Lange) Kontak. He and Alvina Blausey were married June 25, 1931, in Solomon Lutheran Church, Woodville. He was a clerk for the Sun Oil Co. in Toledo for 22 years, retiring in 1964. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Elmore, of the Sun Oil Retirees Club, the Men's Dartball Team of the Church and the Genoa Area Senior Citizens. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Margaret Shaffer, Elmore; and Mrs. Claus (Mary) Paetow, Woodville; as sister Bertha Mital, Tucson, Ariz., and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 412 Fremont St., Elmore, the Rev L. Frank Bunn officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the Crosser Funeral Home, 451 Rice St., Elmore, after 2 p.m. Friday. The family suggested that any memorials be to teh Northwestern OH Lung Association, Trinity Church or the donor's choice.
